METASU YFE-M / HR / C1 (T)

Trivalent chromium clear passivation agent

METASU YFE-M is a trivalent chromium clear passivation agent formulated for barrel processing in a chlorid zinc plating bath, with excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance and self-repairing feature.


・It uses trivalent chromium.
・The corrosion resistance is similar or above that of hexavalent chromium yellow chromate.

・It has self-healing property.
・Resistance to heat and corrosion is enhanced.
・Conventional chromating equipment can be used.
(Heating up facilities is required for the processing liquid for certain process).
・Wastewater treatment is simplified, as it does not contain any organic substances.

Usage conditions

Process temperature 30～50℃
Process time 30-60 seconds
pH 1.8～2.2 Verify pH value before using. Adjust using caustic soda if the pH value falls outside of the specified range.
Agitation

Use a slow pump-stir setting to allow the concentration of the processing liquid to become homogeneous. 

To prevent any damage to the surface, allow for 5 to 6 seconds of stoppage time before lifting the basket containing the processed products from the vibratory stir.
